Apostolic Church PlantologyTheme 01

Apostolic Church Plantology

Church planting is an apostolic science modeled by Jesus and demonstrated in the book of Acts, not a franchise business strategy or a weekend entertainment launch. Jones defines "plantology" as the strategic overlap of three disciplines: New Testament biblical principles, missionary field experience, and church history. A reader learns to abandon the conventional solo-planter corporate model, align with the apostolic pattern of Paul, and establish durable churches capable of penetrating hostile, post-Christian culture.

Level 5 Multi-Generational MultiplicationTheme 02
Coming Soon

Level 5 Multi-Generational Multiplication

Starting a single church is addition; planting a movement requires designing for reproduction out to the fourth generation from day one. Grounded in 2 Timothy 2:2, Jones demands that planters measure success not by Sunday attendance, but by whether daughter churches are actively planting granddaughter and great-granddaughter churches. A reader learns the mathematical, structural, and cultural shifts required to build a Level 5 multiplying movement rather than an empire-building mega-church.

Plural Missionary Teams: Strike Teams and Fist TeamsTheme 03
Coming Soon

Plural Missionary Teams: Strike Teams and Fist Teams

The New Testament knows nothing of the isolated, heroic solo church planter; planting was always executed by plural, polycentric apostolic teams. Jones differentiates between Strike Teams (mobile pioneers who break hard ground and plant) and Fist Teams (entrenched local teams combining all five APEST callings). A reader learns how to recruit, align, and deploy balanced teams where apostles, prophets, evangelists, shepherds, and teachers operate as a unified fist.

The Lost-to-Leader Harvest PipelineTheme 04
Coming Soon

The Lost-to-Leader Harvest Pipeline

Churches that transform communities do not poach mature believers from other congregations; they forge frontline leaders directly out of the harvest. Jones challenges leaders to engage secular outsiders, lead them to Christ, and immediately place them into a discipleship pipeline that develops them into church planters. A reader learns to spot apostolic hunger in raw converts, bypass institutional credentialing bottlenecks, and build an on-the-job apprenticeship culture.

Bi-Vocational and Co-Vocational GritTheme 05
Coming Soon

Bi-Vocational and Co-Vocational Grit

Relying entirely on full-time professional denominational salaries limits church planting to wealthy suburbs and leaves planters financially fragile. Drawing from his own years as a firefighter and emergency nurse, Jones champions bi-vocational and co-vocational ministry as the apostolic gold standard for cultural immersion and long-term sustainability. A reader learns how to master a marketplace trade, balance demanding family and work responsibilities, and plant with financial freedom in the hardest post-Christian places.

The rhythm

How a formation works

1

Read the idea

Short readings and real cases open each week — the theology and the story behind the shift.

2

Practice the shift

Embodied practices and prompts move it off the page and into your actual week and neighborhood.

3

Debrief

Alone in a journal or together in a cohort — name what you saw God doing, then take the next small step.

Walking with a guide

What a cohort adds

The content is identical to the self-paced Pathway. What a cohort adds is people: a trained facilitator, a small group walking the same weeks, and the accountability of showing up together.

  • A trained facilitator guiding each session
  • A small group walking the same weeks with you
  • Live discussion, questions, and honest debrief
  • Accountability that keeps practice from drifting

Questions about formation

The content is exactly the same. A Pathway is self-paced — you move through the readings and practices on your own schedule. A Cohort walks that same material with a trained facilitator and a small group on a shared weekly rhythm.

Start with the theme that names the question you are already carrying. Each formation walks that thread from idea into practice.
